Deron Williams has cleared waivers and will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, according to multiple reports.

Williams the former 3rd overall pick of the Utah Jazz has played in the league since 2005 for 3 different teams.

In his career Williams has averaged 16.6 points and 8.2 assists per game. This season Williams is averaging 13.1 points and 6.9 assists per game for the Dallas Mavericks. Williams is averaging the most assists per game this season since the 2012-13 season with the Brooklyn Nets when he put up 7.7 assists.

According to NBA.com, Williams is averaging 12.8 potential assists per game this season, which would rank second on the Cavaliers behind LeBron and tenth in the league. LeBron got his playmaker.

Being able to shoot is important quality to have to play on the Cavs, especially the ability to catch and shoot. There are ten guys on the Cavalier roster who are shooting at least 40 percent on catch and shoot threes. Williams is shooting a 37.3 percent clip on catch and shoot threes this season, but with LeBron that number should certainly go up.

The Cavaliers take on the Bulls tonight on ABC at 8:30 p.m.
